Relightable Matter Field

A model of matter that represents real light interaction properties distinct from any particular light field.

Generalized Scene Reconstruction

A method of creating and/or refining a scene model representing a generalized light field and a relightable matter field. Data used in reconstruction includes images, video, object models, and/or scene models. The generalized light field represents light flowing in the scene. The relightable matter field represents the light interaction properties and emissivity of matter occupying the scene. Scene data structures can be implemented using Neural Networks and Physics-based structures, among others. The light and matter fields are at least partially disentangled.

Quidient produces three products; QuidientReality®, QuidientVirtualize™, and QuidientHail™. QuidientReality® is an API. QuidientVirtualize™ and QuidientHail™ are applications that run on top of the QuidientReality® API. All three products are released to development partners, with public releases expected soon.

Why are we, an API-first company, producing a small number of standalone applications? Because in so doing, we showcase the transformational value of GSR and vastly improve the quality of our API.

QuidientReality®

QuidientReality® is a platform that includes APIs that provide access to Quidient’s powerful generalized scene reconstruction engine. This gives developers the capability to create unique applications that make use of transformational virtualization tools. These tools perform the calculations to reconstruct the relightable matter field and generalized light field from videos or images.

QuidientVirtualize™

QuidientVirtualize™ is our signature spatial capture application. This application is used to intuitively create high accuracy, relightable models of objects & scenes. Qv™ is geared towards prosumers and is used for applications like digital content creation and synthetic spatial training.

This application allows any car owner with a smartphone to easily capture automotive damage in minutes using a fun, gamified interface. The resulting Reality Model™ can be quickly shared with insurance companies and repair shops.

As a service for our customers, we produce Reality Models™ as an alternative to purchasing software. Reality Models™ are converted from your videos, and can be used for applications like spatial AI training and digital content creation.
